POCUSFrimley wants to contribute to the improvement of care delivered to patients, by spreading the knowledge and skills of Point of Care Ultrasound among health care providers, in the UK and abroad.
Mission
Our mission is to deliver high quality POCUS training through courses tailored to different specialties.
We are accredited to deliver Core Emergency Medicine Ultrasound, FUSIC heart and FAMUS courses.
Principles and Methods
Our courses are focused on practice in small groups (maximum three students per group), either on models, patients, high fidelity phantoms or high-tech simulators. We use simulation extensively under different forms, in order to reproduce clinical contexts, and to explain pathological findings. The courses are, therefore, very intense, so as to maximise the learning experience, with very
little space given to theory, which is comprehensively dealt with in the e-learning sent to students beforehand.
